Autumn Term Co-creation

We’re starting the school year with invitations to co-create the curriculum and opportunities to come together around nature connection, climate action and imaginative community-led change.

You’re invited to join us on 17 September 2024 to co-create a Winter Film Programme to inspire climate action.

Or sign up to Knowledge Cafe planning sessions on 18 or 19 September 2024 to offer a one-off session to share your knowledge about something you do or love relating to nature connection, climate justice, or community-led creative and collaborative action.

In October we’ll be hosting the first sessions of peer-led learning communities for Nature Connected Teams and Organisations and for people Leading Climate Action in Dudley Borough.

In November a series of design sessions will bring together people looking to start (or develop) a climate action project.

Throughout autumn we’ll be hosting free monthly co-working days at CoLab Dudley, which include an opportunity to sign up for an introduction to Dudley People’s School for Climate Justice.

    Starting Your Climate Action Project

    Do you have an idea for a climate action project you’d like to bring to life, or a climate action project which is feeling a bit stuck?
    There's lots of support available through Dudley People's School for Climate Justice. Project design sessions start in November. to learn from each other, share ideas and resources, encourage and support each other, and celebrate progress and successes. You decide what you want to learn about, explore and take action around.

    If only we knew what we know!
    Celebrating and making better use of wisdom and know-how in our communities. The Dudley Creates Knowledge Cafe celebrates local knowledge relating to current action we’re taking around nature connection, climate justice, community-led creative and collaborative action, and ways that local artists, designers and creatives are helping to unlock our imaginations and think in new ways about possible futures.

    Films Inspiring Action

    What if… local people curated a programme of films which inspire climate action?
    If there is a film that has given you hope or inspired you to take action, we’d love you to share it. We’re bringing together a group of local people from across Dudley borough to co-curate a winter season of films followed by short discussions.

    Nature Connected Organisations and Teams

    Nature connected organisations and teams recognise, value, and nurture close relationships with nature.
    This is an invitation to a embark on or deepen your own learning and doing journey around nature connection in your organisation, supported by an open peer learning community. We will convene seasonally, in October. January, April and July.

    Leading Climate Action in Dudley borough

    A purposeful peer learning community for anyone leading climate action in their team, group or organisation in Dudley borough.
    If you are leading on climate action, are curious to learn alongside others, and would welcome support to help you learn, create and take action, we’d love to meet you. We will convene seasonally, in October, January, April and July.

    Co-working @ CoLab Dudley

    CoLab Dudley Co-working days are for local creatives, designers and doers. Whether you are a freelancer, a public sector officer or voluntary sector worker, if you are looking for a change of scenery or new connections to inspire your work, you’re very welcome to join us in our creative work space on Dudley High Street on co-working days. Co-workers can also sign up for an introduction to Dudley People’s School for Climate Justice.
